Notes are the shared notebook of the whole group of caregivers. They’re for putting in writing how the person you care for has spent the day, an incident worth remembering, a change you’ve noticed (eating less, sleeping badly, in better spirits…) or anything the rest of the caregivers should know. The idea is simple: what you observe doesn’t get lost and doesn’t depend on someone remembering to tell it. It’s written down and visible to everyone.
It’s worth being clear about one thing from the start: everything you write in a note will be seen by the entire group. They’re not private jottings of yours, they’re part of the care you all share among the people in the group.
The note list
All the notes are kept together in one place, so you can look them up whenever you want. To get there, open the «Group» tab (in the bar at the bottom of the screen) and enter «Notes»; if you want to see them all at once, tap «All notes».
Search and filter through the notes
As the days go by, plenty of notes pile up, so you have two helpers to find the one you’re looking for without reading them all:
- A search : type a word or a caregiver’s name and the app keeps only the notes that match.
- Some filters by type: «All», «Observation», «Incident» and «General». They let you see in one go, for example, only the incidents.
If a note is long, it appears trimmed in the list: tap it to unfold it and read it in full.
Creating a note
Writing a note is something you’ll do almost daily. It’s just two steps: say what type it is and write it.
Choose the note type
Tap the button (bottom right) and the app asks you the first thing: «What type of note is it?». Don’t stress about getting it right; the type is only for sorting the notes and giving them a colour, so pick whichever fits best:
- Observation — something you’ve seen that’s worth writing down, without it being a problem. For example: «ate with a good appetite today».
- Incident — a problem or an important event you want to stand out. For example: «felt dizzy when getting up».
- General — anything else that doesn’t fit the two above.
Write the note and save it
Below is the space to write (you’ll see the hint «Write a note about the care…»). Tell it in your own words, it doesn’t need to be formal or long. When you finish, tap «Save».
The note is saved automatically with your name and the date and time. So when another caregiver reads it, they’ll know who wrote it and when without having to ask anyone.
Viewing or deleting a note
In the list, each note shows you at a glance who wrote it (the author), what type it is — with a colour so you recognize it quickly: Observation in blue, Incident in red and General in green — and the date. As before, if a note is long it unfolds when you tap it.
Delete a note that is no longer needed
If a note no longer serves, tap its delete icon . The app will ask you to confirm («Delete note?») before doing it, because once deleted it cannot be recovered. It’s a safety measure so nothing disappears by accident.
How many notes you can save
Depending on the plan the group has, more or fewer notes can be stored at once. A bar above the list keeps you posted at all times («X of Y notes saved»), so it doesn’t catch you by surprise:
