This Privacy Policy describes how Utility Lab Studio («we») collects, uses and protects information when you visit the website utilitylabstudio.com (the «Site»). This policy applies only to the website. Mobile products (CarePilot, Digital Magnifier) have their own privacy policy linked from each product.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Utility Lab Studio. For any privacy-related question contact us at info@utilitylabstudio.com or via the contact form.
2. Data we collect
We only collect data you actively provide:
- Contact form. Name, email address, message and the IP address from which you submit the form. The IP is used solely to prevent abuse (rate limiting). Your browser language is recorded so we can reply in your language.
- Basic technical data. Web servers may log standard technical metadata (browser type, OS, IP, access date/time) for security and diagnostic purposes.
We do not use tracking cookies, behavioral analytics tools, advertising pixels or third-party traffic analytics. The Site does not require cookies to function and does not show a cookie banner because it does not set any.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We process your data to reply to inquiries sent via the contact form and to keep the Site operational and secure.
The legal basis is:
- Your consent when submitting the form (GDPR Art. 6.1.a).
- Legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and spam-free (GDPR Art. 6.1.f).
4. Data retention
Messages received through the form are kept as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and continue the conversation. After 24 months with no further contact, we delete the email from our inbox.
Server-side technical logs are kept for a maximum of 30 days.
5. Recipients
We do not transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes.
Providers that process data on our behalf:
- Hostinger International Ltd. — website and email hosting. EU servers. (Hostinger privacy)
The site does NOT use Formspree, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, AdSense or similar.
6. International transfers
Your personal data is stored on servers located in the European Union. We do not perform international transfers of personal data.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — know what data we hold.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion.
- Objection — object to processing.
- Restriction — restrict processing in certain cases.
- Portability — receive your data in structured format.
- Complaint — file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@utilitylabstudio.com clearly stating which right you wish to exercise. We will reply within 30 days.
8. Security
The Site is served entirely over HTTPS (in-transit encryption). The contact form includes anti-spam protection (honeypot, rate limiting). Mailbox access is protected by our email provider’s security measures.
9. Minors
The Site is not directed at children under 14. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The “last updated” date appears at the top of this document. Substantial changes will be highlighted on the Site.
